Tim Chapman - America's Parenting Coach and Endorser of the TeenSavers® Home Drug Test Kit

Tim Chapman, B.A., CAADAC, Msc.D, has a more than 30 years of experience diagnosing, consulting, and treating patients with substance abuse. He has numerous degrees and certifications from accredited universities, including UC Irvine, the University of Utah, and is presently in the Graduate Program at the University of the Cumberlands. He has developed and directed 8 state-licensed, residential, outpatient and hospital based treatment programs in California. In 1980, Chapman served as Senior Counselor of adolescents at Good |
Samaritan Hospital in Anaheim, California. In 1981, while still working with state hospitals, Chapman opened Chapman Rehab, a residential, licensed and CARF (Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities) Accredited treatment facility.
Chapman also took on the duties of Senior Counselor at Healthcare Medical Center of Tustin, where he supervised group and individual teen substance abuse therapy. From 1985-1990, Chapman evaluated government and public employees with substance abuse problems that were referred through the California Department of Transportation. From 1985 to 1987, Chapman created an 11-bed adolescent treatment facility at Pacifica community Hospital in Huntington Beach. Chapman has worked with several other organizations in various capacities from counselor and consultant to director.
In 1993, Tim was named "America's Parenting Coach" by Concern Counseling Services. At the time, Chapman was a Volunteer Director for CCS. He oversaw substance abuse cases for the group’s 46 Catholic schools in Southern California. Chapman currently services as Executive Director of Chapman House. He also has established the Teensavers program; a unique, five-phased treatment program with personalized treatment plans. The treatment is broken down into assessment, in-residence detoxification and stabilization, in-residence or day treatment, outpatient continuing care, and the “Lifespark” process. The Lifespark process, created by Chapman, provides significant insight into the identification of one’s feelings and the true healing process. The process serves to identify and reignite the teens’ enthusiasm for life.
Chapman is also an accomplished author, having written Addictionary, and the Power of Parental Influence and the Art of Feeling Chapman’s knowledge and experience in detecting and treating addiction has made him a nationally sought out expert throughout all media channels. Most recently, Chapman and his Chapman House rehab served as host to a patient featured on the A&E show Intervention. Because of his expertise, the show’s producers are currently considering Chapman for a permanent position as one of the show’s regular Interventionists. Chapman has also aired on The Larry Elder Show on CBS, and has made frequent appearances on Good Morning Arizona. Reaching up to 1.5 million readers a week, Chapman’s “on the level” column was had a ten-year run in the Orange County Register. Chapman can also be found on numerous spots along the radio dial. Chapman has appeared on nationally syndicated radio programs, each reaching more than two million listeners, including The Larry Elder Show, The Danny Bonaduce Show, STAR 98.7, 97.1 FM Talk, and Sirius Radio’s Broad Minded. |
